September 21st

this week elder Blankenship were on fire. especially yesterday. after interviews with the mission president. we ran around in bear river city (on bikes) talking to potentials and auxileries. after eating dinner with one of the ward mission leaders we caught a ride back to Brigham, and went and set up lessons with a potential, Dezmond, and then went to a lesson with Robert and Timmy. Robert and Timmy are brothers. yesterday we taught them the first half of the plan of salvation. during the lesson we committed them both for baptism, they both kinda said that they don't know and was scared of commitment. after reading 2nephi 31:4-10 we asked why they think they need baptism and why heavenly father wants them baptized. Robert said so i can become a new person. Timmy said to be clean again. after they said that we recommitted them for baptism. Robert said "I'm down" Timmy said that he didn't know and that it was a big commitment. we then explained that when were running a race or doing something difficult is it easier to do it by ourselves or with a friend. they both answered with a friend. then the COOLEST thing happened Robert turned to his brother and bore his testimony to Timmy. he pretty much said that they've done everything they could do wrong in life what do we have to lose? think about the rut were in if we don't get out nothing will change, this could change our lives. a non-member only met with us twice said that. the spirit was so crazy strong. Robert committed to be baptized in the last week of October Timmy is still unsure. the lord will work on him and change his heart, he just has to ask. the first lesson with them after sharing the first vision we asked how they felt Robert explained how he found god in prison and that even though he tried to deny the first vision, he had that same feeling. he knew that what Joseph Smith saw was true. I LOVE LESSONS LIKE THIS!!!!! reaffirms my testimony every time.
