Weekly E-mail

hey whats up everyone. sorry i haven't written in a while finally got settled down from transfers and in two weeks they'll happen again. everythings going good though cold but good. the pictures i sent one is of the estrada family that got baptised. the second is what missionaries do when we get bored. we play with fire!!!!! as far as funny goes we haven't had anything crazy funny happen. couple days ago we got a drunk guy yell at us that we were f***ing awsome, we asked if he'd want to learn more about his savior after that he just told us to screw off. i love my area though. theres two extremes here. either people love you or the really really really hate you alot. all the time we'll wave to people in there cars and they'll just flipp us off (its sweet) then just to spite them we run catch up with them knock on there window and asked if they'd like to take the lessons. but this week we dont have anyone schedualed for baptisim, but on the 30th we have six people. wess, he's from texas moved here on a whim. rose and robert, drug addicts who decided to change there lives. isabelle, she used to be a prostitute but she also decided to change her life. rodriguez, he's from the marshall islands he's sorta of a gang banger but he's trying to change. juan a guy we met at church welfare night and wanted to take the lessons. i love them all every single one of them has a really unique storey. but im doing good, just loving life and my mission.
love ya

hey how are you guys doing? things are starting to get better between me and my companion. lol he's just wierd and stuburn and likes to use the term "im senior companion and i make the decesions." that changed this week. i took the cell phone from him and our contacts book, because all we do is just walk around and really do nothing. so now that i have everything were starting to work with the members better and getting alot of referrals from them. i was talking to one of our zone leaders and he asked how me and elder bevans were doing. i said i really cant stand him, he's just wierd. elder cowan (zone leader) said one of the most profound things ive ever heard of. he said the only way your going to love your companion is "just fake it till you make it" so im trying that. we'll see how it will go. other than my companion im in a really cool district with alot of really fun people. today for fun were going go karting in layton at the boondocks. should be fun. we have alot of baptisims this week one family of 3 and two other people. one of my favorite investigators is wess. he has one of the best and sadest stories ive ever heard. he's from texas and divorced. he's the kicker. he wanted to move away from texas and prayed and asked the lord where he should go he spun the globe and landed on ogden utah. so he moved up here and is now taking the lessons. he's got the biggest texas "twang" ever. he excepted a bappy date and is getting baptised on the 16th. we have alot of other investigators 15 or so but they all live in the ghetto of ogden. all the crack heads, pot heads, alcholics, and heroine abusers. elder bevans has alot of faith in them that they'll quit, me not so much. the only reason they come to church is for the welfare program, but atleast there taking the lessons. love you guys
